It’s here! The big event is next Saturday 10/03/09.

There are a few questions coming in so we'll try to answer some here:

I won’t know until later in the week if I can come. Can I pay at the door?
Yes, it is still $30 per person. We would appreciate you notifying us by shooting an e-mail to wphsreunion@gmail.com letting us know if you going to make it after all. This enables us to ensure we don’t run short of food or seats.

Teachers, while you have a paid reservation we want to make sure you have a plate so please let us you’re coming.

I paid for my spouse and now they don’t want to come. Can I bring a friend or another class member?
Please do! We would love to see old class mates even if they weren’t in the age span. Chances are we have a memory of them too.

What's the attire?
Casual but most importantly comfortable for visiting, jeans are great. Personally, I’ll probably be in a dress cause that’s what I’m most comfortable in.

What’s going on during the evening?
6:00 PM we start the stroll down memory lane and begin registering guest
6:30 PM dinner line opens
7:30 PM Reminiscing program
8:00 PM dance floor opens and visit till Midnight

We so hope you are able to join us!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The word is getting around now! Thanks guys! I've started hearing and getting RSVP’s from class of 73, I got a message from Mr. Burden that he would probably be there and Coach Armstrong would definitely be there if he got an invitation. Could someone give us his address PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Email us at wphsreunion@gmail.com

Just to give you an idea of what’s in store for the evening we plan on having printed programs listing each years class members, student council members, etc, a half hour program that will include Steve Harden singing a song or two and some reflection on the way things where back then, and special decorations that many of us have long forgotten. We only plan on doing this for about a half hour as we know you are there for the personal visitation. Don’t forget to bring your cameras to capture the moment too.

Head count is important so if you plan on coming please let us know. I know many of you have things that are holding you up from committing right now but let us hear from you.

Hope to see you there!

Invites mailed - make reservation now!

Keep an eye out for your information. Reservation invites have been mailed to the last known address. We need photos too so please if you can scan and email photos for display direct them to wphsreunion@gmail.com

30+ years ago we shared a special time of change…transitioning from adolescents to adulthood. As we transition into becoming societies seniors citizens let us once again come together to share another special moment. October 3, 2009, we have an opportunity to reconnect with some of those who were there for the first “senior moment”. Topics like fondest HS memory, favorite HS teacher or subject, and favorite snack bar food are just some of the times revisited as we planners have discussed this event. Our hope is that many of you can and will take a moment to visit with us. Let's do this while we still have some recall of those younger days and senior citizen discounts or mobility have not quite yet become our highest priority. See instructions on this blog on securing a reservations.

Hope to see you there! Ginger Pittman Martin

Tiger Spirit

There is a saying that “A tiger never loses his stripes”. It’s been 30 plus years since many of us have seen one another, when we were all tigers. At heart, many of us continue to carry some of that Tiger spirit but the fact of the matter is that everyone’s stripes have changed. We have all been on life’s journey for quiet some time now. The reunion is an opportunity to visit and reconnect our hearts not critique each others stripes. So please plan on joining us for a special night of reminiscingto a special part of each of our history.

Additionally, we want to put together a special program for the evening. Steve Harden will provide some entertainment but we would like to put together some type of computer graphics program. If you have equipment and skills to do such a thing, please shoot us an email.

Hope to see most of you there.

47 classmates have committed for the “70’s Retro and Re-connect” event of the year. Class of ‘77 has the most participation. ’73 where is your gathering spirit? We need volunteers for “class area” decoration teams. If you’re available to work with some of your old classmates to pull something together please let us know. Hoping to see many of you - Ginger
